Among them, 592 notifications were issued to China (excluding notifications to Taiwan and Hong Kong, China), which accounted for 63.2% of the total number of EU notifications in the same period, an increase of 99.3% over the same period of the previous year, ranking the first; followed by Germany, 28 items. , accounting for 3.0%; the United States ranked third, 23, accounting for 2.5%. In addition, the countries (regions) that have more RAPEX notifications in the EU include: Italy (18 items), United Kingdom (14 items), Spain (13 items), Japan (10 items), Turkey (9 items), Thailand (9 items) , France (9 items), Bangladesh (8 items), Poland (8 items), Bulgaria (8 items).

Spain is the EU Member State that has reported the most to China

In the first half of the year, a total of 26 EU member states, as well as Iceland and Norway, issued 592 notifications of their products to China. Spain, Hungary, the United Kingdom, France, Lithuania, and Germany were the main member countries of the EU's product notification to China. Among them, Spain had the most product notifications to China, totaling 114 items, accounting for 19.3% of the total EU product notifications to China; followed by Hungary, 79 items, accounting for 13.3%; and Britain had 63 items, accounting for 10.6%, ranking third Finland and France ranked fourth and fifth respectively, with 54 and 45 respectively, accounting for 9.1% and 7.6% each.

Toys, clothing, fabrics, fashion goods and electrical appliances are the focus of product notification in China

In the first half of the year, according to the categories of EU RAPEX product notifications in China, toy products were the most frequently reported, 169 in total, accounting for 28.5%; followed by apparel, fabrics and fashion products, 118 items, accounting for 19.9. %; 112 electrical products, accounting for 18.9%, ranked third. In addition, light chains, child care and children's products, daily chemical products, ** products, lighters, and kitchen/cooking appliances are also listed in the EU RAPEX Product Bulletin (Table 1).

Judging from the regulations and directives violated by the EU RAPEX product notification in China, toy products were notified of suffocation, injury, etc., mainly involving the EU's Toy Safety Directive (2009/48/EC) and its harmonized standard EN71. -1; The situation reported due to chemical hazards is related to the EU REACH regulations; some electronic toy notifications are related to the "EU Low Voltage Directive" (LVD) and EN61558 standards; clothing, fabrics, and fashion items cause suffocation and injuries. The notified cases mainly concern the EN14682 standard; the notifications for general household electrical appliances relate to the “EU Low Voltage Directive” (LVD) and EN60335 standards; the notifications concerning power adapters and chargers are the most frequently referred to as “EU Low”. Danger of suffocation is the main reason for product notification in China

From the analysis of the reasons for EU notification of products in China (Note: a product may involve multiple reasons), the risk of suffocation (including the risk of depression and strangulation) is the main reason for the notification of EU products to China, totaling 199 items, accounting for 33.6 %; the risk of electric shock ranked second, 174 items, accounting for 29.4%; injuries (including burns) ranked third, 153 items, accounting for 25.8%. In addition, the reasons for product notification in China include: chemical hazards (109 items), fire risk (71 items), visual impairment (22 items), microbial contamination (7 items), hearing impairment (4 items), and health risks. (1 item).

In the first half of the year, the risk of asphyxiation was the leading cause for the notification of toys, clothing, fabrics and fashion products in China, which were 80 and 98 items respectively; the risk of electric shock was the primary reason for the notification of electric appliances and light chain products, which were 97 items and 33 items respectively. (Table 2). The number of Chinese toy products notified for microbial contamination was seven, and the notified countries were Spain (6 items) and Italy (1 item).

Coercive measures are the type of measures that the EU uses for product notifications in China

In the first half of the year, in the measures taken by the EU notification products to China (Note: A notification may apply a variety of measures), the competent authorities of the EU member states take compulsory measures (including prohibition of sales, forced withdrawal from the market, recall, detention, Destruction, customs refusal to import, etc.) 535 items; 219 voluntary measures taken by the company (including voluntary withdrawal from the market, recalls, sales suspension, implementation of remedial measures, etc.); the competent authority to implement mandatory measures, and the company to take further voluntary corrective measures 20 items .
