Teach you two ways to identify silk

First, the combustion method:

Pull the fabric out of the yarn, close to the flame and burn it. When the yarn is close to the flame, it will melt and curl; when it touches the flame, it will melt, curl, burn, and emit the smell of burning hair; when leaving the flame, it will flash slightly, sometimes it will self-extinguish; The crunchy black granular ash is broken with a finger. The difference between the silk and other fibers after burning is as follows: the silk will emit a smell of hair when burned, and the burned ash is amorphous and dark brown. When the silk is burned, there is no such special odor. The polyester silk is burned to form a black block; the cotton fiber is burnt and the ball is off-duty; the viscose silk is burning like a burning paper, and the gray is white. Powdery; Acetate simulated silk has a pungent odor when burned, and the ash is black and bright and hard.

Second, the visual inspection method:

Firstly, the fabric is evenly spread on the platform to visually check its appearance. The silk product is soft and even, bright but not glare; then touch and rub the fabric by hand, feel the handle when touching the fabric, and feel warm, dry and stiff. It is not easy to produce wrinkles; finally, rubbing the two layers of fabric will produce a "silk" sound.
